Ram - Owner, Head Trainer (Sturgeon Lake)

Ram is the owner and head trainer at RR Professional Dog Training & Boarding. Ram completed the Dog Trainer Course from the Animal Behavior College in 2007. Next, he completed the extensive Master Dog Trainer Course at the Tom Rose School, where he studied Obedience, Agility, Schutzhund, Fieldwork, Tracking, Search & Rescue, and Scent Work. He opened his first dog training facility in New York in 2009, where he coached many clients to titles in Obedience and Agility. He has achieved his own titles with multiple dogs, including Companion Dog, Companion Dog Excellent, and Junior Hunter. In 2011, Ram and his wife, Daniela, moved to Minnesota and opened the Carlton training facility and kennel. In 2016, they added a new facility in Sturgeon Lake, MN. Ram oversees all of the training at RR and is extremely knowledgeable about canine aggression and fear issues.

Daniela - Owner

Daniela is the business manager of the team. She focuses on building a strong foundation for business success by hiring, training, and ensuring the company has adequate staff and resources to support a growing business.

Tony - Head Trainer (Carlton)

Tony graduated with honors from the Dog Trainer program of Animal Behavior College in 2013. That same year, he joined Team RR. He also attended veterinary technician school in 2010. Tony's friendly disposition, positive attitude, and extensive training skills make him invaluable to our program. He specializes in dogs with behavior issues. Tony and his Black Lab, Saganaga, are working towards being the best hunting team around. Tony is a "Pit Master" BBQ extraordinaire and aspires to be the best.

Sarah

Sarah joined Team RR in October 2017 as a trainer aftergraduating from the internship training program that same fall. Sarah now runs our Training program at the Moose Lake correctional facility, Sarah has several years of experience working with dogs in a variety of settings. She studied for two years at DBU's veterinary tech program and worked for seven years as an animal care specialist with Silverwood Pet Care in Superior. Sarah and her lab mix Buddy joined forces in 2009. With Sarah's help, Buddy successfully completed basic puppy and basic obedience classes. Together they are now working on mastering Buddy's off-leash training. Sarah later adopted Holden who was a rescue brought in from training. Sarah's relaxed, friendly demeanor makes her a great trainer for all dogs, especially dogs who are reactive toward people and/or dogs. In addition, Sarah is an invaluable calming presence for the dogs who come to RR. In her free time, Sarah enjoys building metal craft miniatures.

Carey

Carey is a DBU veterinary technician program graduate who works with her "demo dog" Rosie. She joined our internship program in 2018 and started training full-time later that year. In addition to her focus on training dogs for obedience at all levels at our Sturgeon Lake Kennel. Carey is a thrill seeker and enjoys cliff jumping and being outdoors.

Kim

Kim grew up on a farm surrounded by animals. She spent her youth training and showing horses. Her hobby switched to dogs over 15 years ago. She has since trained in obedience, agility, rally, nosework, and therapy dogs, earning titles on seven different dogs. She "early-retired" from the corporate world in 2014 and became a certified canine sports massage therapist. She joined team RR in September 2016 as a trainer. Kim is currently owned by four awesome dogs. Lucy is a silver lab who was rescued from her previous life as a breeder dog. Faith is rescued golden/ lab/ aussie/ husky mix who was born blind, but she has not let her disability stop her for one second. Both Faith and Lucy are certified therapy dogs who enjoy visiting schools, colleges, camps, and nursing homes. The newest family additions are Jersey, an American/English bulldog cross, and Teddi, who is a spitfire mix of shar-pei, bulldog, Jack Russell terrier, and beagle.

Grace

Grace and her dog Mavis joined the RR family in July of 2021. Growing up on a horse farm in Duluth, Grace has always had a passion for dogs and wanted to be a vet. She is enthusiastic about learning the ropes as a kennel worker, as she has an interest in theory, behavior, obedience, and differences in dog breeds. Grace is known as the "Tie Dye Queen".

Faith

Faith and her dogs Mazy and Diesel joined the RR family in 2021 after her mom Amanda loved working there. She loves being around the dogs and has a special place in her heart for rescue dogs. She enjoys Mud Trucks as much as her mom Amanda.

Stephanie

Stephanie joined RR at 2023. She's been training dogs for over two years after working as a kennel tech for a year prior. Stephanie is a graduate of Starmark Academy in Texas and completed their Pet Obedience Theory and Application course.

Stephanie's has a pit bull named Heisenberg and a cat named kitty. She enjoys training all dogs but especially likes seeing the confidence building up in anxious and fearful dogs through training.

In her free time she enjoys hiking with her daughter and pets, and baking.

Emma - Trainer

Emma been working with dogs for a little over a year now. Her dogs are Rambo and Athena. They are complete opposites. Rambo is a wild child and Athena is a lazy lady. He loves to get dirty but she avoids puddles at all costs :) . Outside work Emma loves kayaking and paddle boarding.

Caitlin - Kennel Tech

Caitlin joined RR Professional Dog Training in 2022. She has a real love for dogs and her dream was always to work with them.

In her free time Caitlin likes to go for hikes, visiting friends, and mountain biking. Her dogs name is Hershey.

Robin - Kennel Manager

Robin joined Team RR in 2016 after volunteering for several years as a dog walker for Duluth Animal Allies. Robin works at the Carlton facility as a kennel manager. Dogs have long been a part of Robin's life. Her most recent adoptee, Tiki, came to her from Good Karma rescue. Together, they have trained in obedience, off-leash, and agility (Tiki is known to have some great agility moves!). Robin enjoys working with the dogs at RR, many of whom know her as a "human piƱata." Robin's strong work ethic and commitment to doing what needs to be done to keep the dogs happy and healthy are what make her a crucial member of the RR Team. In fact, winter, spring, summer or fall, Robin will battle the elements to make sure she is at the kennel by 7 am. Often times, she beats the snowplow.

Baron - Kennel Tech / Groundskeeper

Baron joined Team RR in 2021 as a kennel worker and groundskeeper after being so envious of how happy his girlfriend was when she came home from work at the kennel. A native of Coon Rapids, MN, he has a love for classic cars and being outside. However, what he likes most about his job is petting the dogs and seeing how much they love you.

Cierra - Kennel Tech

Cierra and her dog Kotah have been a part of the RR family since 2020. She enjoys working with dogs that have a social anxiety disorder. She loves what she does and looks forward to coming to work each day.

Drew - Kennel Tech

Drew joined the RR team in April of 2021. He spent the majority of his career in the Twin Cities and was excited at the opportunity to move north and find a job where he could share his love for dogs. The companionship and friendship found in dogs are amazing. He loves what he does and eventually wants to be a trainer. When Drew is not working, you can find him out four-wheeling.

Randie- Kennel Tech

Randie, kennel tech on sturgeon lake. Randie joined RR team in 2023. She loves all animals and especially dogs. She also has miniature donkeys a cat and a hamster.

Randie is very patient and will make friends with every dog that comes to the kennel. Even the ones that are a little leery of strangers at their first time with us.
