Solar Panels

The primary energy source in both locations is solar panels. Solar panels give off no contamination, give energy independence, and require less maintenance. In addition, the energy produced by these panels is enough for the entire year for each location.

Energy Efficiency

At RR Professional Dog Training, you will find LED lighting in Sturgeon Lake and Carlton Facility. LED is a highly energy-efficient lighting technology that uses at least 75% less energy and lasts up to 25 times longer than incandescent lighting.

The training arena and kennels in the Carlton facility have in-floor heat. This provides for easy operation, comfort for staff and dogs, energy-efficiency, and safety.

Electric car charging station

In the Carlton facility, you will find free electric charging station. This charging station is available to the owners and employees and the community and travelers.

Restoration of Natural Habitat

RR Professional Dog Training is working with Minnesota DNR as well as with US Fish and Wildlife Service to restore wetlands and and natural habitats on our properties.

Every year we plant thousand of trees on our land as well as create habitat and nesting boxes for local pollinators.
